Iona McCall.

Iona has practised exclusively in family law since 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Communications (Social and Political Sciences) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney and was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2024.

Before joining Dorter Family Lawyers in 2025, Iona worked as Associate to a Judge of Division 1 of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. In that role, she gained firsthand insight into the Court's decision-making processes and supported matters across a broad range of parenting and property disputes. Having supported Judges in running the Court’s Major Complex Financial Proceedings list both in Sydney and interstate, she has a background in observing matters involving strategic high-value property litigation.

While completing her studies, Iona worked as a legal researcher for several respected family law barristers at one of Sydney's leading family law chambers, developing a strong foundation in both legal research and advocacy.
